The little town of North Pole is just ten minutes away from our base. Every winter they have ice sculptures displayed in town and at Santa's house. This is a sled dog race ice sculpture that is displayed in the center of the round-a-bout in the center of town. Here is Santa's house from the freeway. We (minus Bree who was playing laser-tag with her friend) went there Saturday to see the ice sculptures, eat the free lunch they serve once a year, and buy our traditional Christmas ornaments.
Here is the big Santa statue that you can see from the freeway.
This is all made out of ice. Cool huh.
You can take a carriage ride at Santa's house for 5 bucks but we thought we would come back when Bree was with us. I have always wanted to do that. I can't wait to come back.
