We went to Anchorage over spring break last week just to get away from cold fairbanks for awhile. We didn't take a lot of pictures this time but we did a lot of fun things with the kids. We went to the Alaska museum, Chuck E Cheese, ice skating at Dimond mall, took the tram to the top of Alyeska, shopped, and played games together in the TLF. It was a nice relaxing vacation.

One of the highlights of the drive is seeing Mt. McKinley. The weather was awesome most of the trip and the views were incredible.
These pictures are out of order but when we got back from our trip we found out that the Pinewood Derby was in two days and we didn't even have a car for Joey yet! So we got a car on Monday and then Brian and Joey started putting it together on Tuesday. The Derby was Tuesday night! Some how they pulled it off and it ran pretty well. Out of 24 cars and three races for each car, it got 2nd, 2nd, and 1st!

Joey turned 8 on Tuesday too! It was such a busy day that we had to wait until after the derby to have his cake. Unfortunately he started feeling sick right about then. He managed to eat a few bites of cake and then was sick the rest of the night into the next day.
