This is the Eskimo village at Anaktuvuk Pass located about 100 miles above the Arctic Circle. There are no roads this village either. Approximately 300 Nunamiut people live here and depend on the caribou and other wild life around here. view from the front of the plane
This little Eskimo lady stopped for a short second on her snowmobile, smiled and waved and drove away. She was classic Alaska. We loved it.
Here I am in front of the little bush mail plane. This is a Piper Navajo Chieftain aircraft.
Brian in front of the plane. By the way right before we took off the pilot tried to start his plane about 3 times and it wouldn't start. I was waiting for him turn to and laugh and say, "just kidding" but that didn't happen. Good thing it started the last time!
